Cameron's movie was cut by 17 minutes for the cinema version, so some of the movie doesn't make sense, (mainly how Newt gets on the ship); years later on television, her family is attacked by the aliens, and is a stowaway. The rest of the movie has 'added on' scenes that creates a stronger plot line, that completes "Aliens", which runs at 137 minutes, longer than the first movie was. The battle scenes with Ripley and the Queen Alien, is scary. She gets help in modern, space warfare, by Corporal Hicks. When she sees some of the new friends are killed, she blames Burke for their deaths. Burke has his own agenda. Reiser, who is known for his comedy television shows like 'Mad about you', with Helen Hunt, flees the ship, much to Ripley's anger. And Bishop turns out to be a robot, like Ian Holm's character in the first film, as he attempts to sabotage everything.

"Aliens", is a pre-CGI effects science fiction action movie that succeeds in the growing tension of the scenes. The writing, directing, and production from Gale Ann Hurd, and the acting, cinematography, music, and special effects, as well as music, creates a classic movie that succeeds as a sequel which is on par with the original movie.
