Six year's after "Alien 3", David Fincher, 1992, French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet made "Alien: Resurrection", (1998). This time Ellen Ripley returns to do battle with new aliens. She meets Call, (Winona Ryder), Heathers, 1988, Bram Stoker's Dracula, 1992, Reality Bites, 1994, who is a clone, who helps Ellen Ripley. Unlike the third movie, the gloominess is gone. The movie is similar to the first movie; it is bolder, and violent. The rest of the cast include Ron Pearlman, The City of lost children, 1995, the Hell-boy series, Season of the Witch as Johner; Gary Dourdan, (as Christie); Michael Wincott, (as Elgyn); and Dan Hedaya, (as General Perez)-who wants to get rid of the alien threat.

The aliens return...Jean Pierre Jeunet's "Alien: Resurrection", (1998).***
Written by Josh Whedon, who was unknown twenty years' ago, the fusion of science fiction, horror, and action, (and the era of human cloning), meant that Ripley could return. In the end, "Alien: Resurrection", is a good science fiction sequel that is sadly overlooked.
