In 1979, Dan O'Bannon, Ronald Shusett, and director Ridley Scott, made a science fiction cult classic called "
Alien". It told the story of a space ship called
The Nostromo. When the crew hear a signal from a distant planet thanks to Mother, (Helen Horton), their lives are placed in grave danger. The crew are: Ellen Ripley, (a young Sigourney Weaver); Dallas, (Tom Skerritt); Lambert, (Veronica Cartwright); Brett, (Harry Dean Stanton); Kane, (John Hurt); Ash, (Ian Holm); and Parker, (Yaphet Kotto), and African-American. As Kane, and some of the crew investigate a planet where the signal was, they find a lot of space eggs. When Kane gets too close to one of them, it splits open, and a face hugger wraps around his face. In the end, Kane is taken back to
The Nostromo, where he's attended in the Sick Bay.

It is a bad idea to search the alien eggs...Ridley Scott's "Alien", (1979).
